A team of experts who dealt with this research believes that taking organic food once or twice in a day is similar to taking inorganic food five times a day. Difference Of Opinion Regarding The Benefits Of Organic Vegetables

 The level of antioxidants is much higher in organic food ranging from 19% to 69%, as concluded by a team of experts at Newcastle University. As one of eminent professor Tom Sanders of nutrition at King’s College, London is skeptical about these findings. Though on health issues or for environmental benefits, these organic foods are better to some extent, he is not entirely convincing to the new results. He thought that this is a highly controversial issue. 

Tom Sanders, the nutrition professor of King’s College, stated that organic cereals and also vegetables have low protein content that the inorganic ones. This research was also publishing in an esteemed scientific journal named The British Journal of Nutrition. This research champions the benefits of the conventional way of farming rather than buying organic vegetables and fruits at a much higher cost. 

Carlo Leifert, an expert at Newcastle University, believes that antioxidants produced by the plants also help to subdue the risk of chronic diseases to some extent. These diseases could be any cardiovascular disease, neurodegenerative disease, and certain cancers. But at the same time, they showed these long term effects by consuming an organic diet for a prolonged period has still not been done.

 Cadmium, a toxic metal, is found in accelerating amounts in inorganic crops. Research has also shown that pesticide residue is much more inorganic vegetables and fruits rather than the organic ones. Cadmium can be harmful if they cross the regulatory limit, but still, now its much less than the threshold. Researchers believe that repeated consumption and its accumulation in the human body over time can be harmful. Some critics think that the difference in quality in fruits and vegetables is due to the use of pesticides, which depends on the climate, plant type, and soil varieties and not because of organic farming. 

Studies in 2012 showed that eating organic means eating healthy as people can easily stay away from pesticides. But Sanders was not convinced by this fact. He stated that having organic food doesn’t mean better nourishment. It depends on the types of food the people are having, not biological or inorganic. People are paying hefty amounts to buy a lifestyle of their choice. It depends if you include vegetables and fruits in your diet to have a healthy life. Opinions vary as the still UK, and some of the European countries haven’t accepted organic vegetables over inorganic ones till now.
